====== Confidence ====== Ars Magica 5th Edition has changed how //Confidence// works from 3rd and 4th. Using //Confidence// now gives you a +3 bonus to a roll, rather than allowing a re-roll. More importantly, under 5th Edition rules //confidence// cannot be spent on a botch. For this saga, I'm changing this since I like the safety net for characters (both PCs and NPCs). Instead, //confidence// may be spent after a roll of '0' but before any botch dice are rolled to reduce the number of botch dice per point spent. This may reduce the number of botch dice to zero. The number of //confidence// you can spend in this way is limited by your //Confidence Score// in the usual way. If you have a high enough //Confidence Score//, you can use extra points to give you a +3 to the roll (after botch dice (if any) have been rolled).
