====== Jager Platoons ======

The Jager are light infantry specialised for assault and defence operations in rugged terrain and urban warfare. They are trained for operating behind enemy lines out of contact with supply chains, but also act as a scouting force for more heavily armoured platoons.

The NSL Jager command squad shown above consists of the platoon commander, a GMS/P, Squad Sergeant, Trooper, SAW gunner and three further Troopers.

Jager tend to be veteren soldiers with experienced leaders, picked from the best heavy infantry squads. The mortar team is viewed as a less glorious role, and as such tends to be sub-par compared to the other squads.

There is often a sniper team attached to the platoon. This is a two man squad consisting of spotter and sniper. They can act either as forward observers (and they count as a dedicated observer team) or as snipers to pin down enemy squads.
