Has extended fuel tanks so is capable of making 2 J-2 jumps. Loses its penetration scanners, and has a much reduced docking bay and cargo bay to make up for the space.

It is possible to modify the type L to carry drop tanks for an extra J-2 jump, but it generally takes a week of work, removing the cargo scoop and several tonnes of the cargo hold. It cannot jump with the drop tanks attached.
