====== Prokaryotes ======

A simple anaerobic single celled organism that lacks a membrane bound nucleus, mitochondria etc. These are the first living organisms, and include bacteria. May be found on [[:worldgen:life:Organic]] worlds just before they make the switch to [[:worldgen:life:Archaean]], but dominate the early stages of the latter.

Eventually they are replaced by [[Protozoa]] and [[Algae]].
