One game ends, another begins. I've started planning for another campaign now, a D&D 3.5 game that will be run using roll20.net called the Hestmark Highlands. It is a carry on from a previous one shot game that was run with Tabletop Forge last year, as an experiment with gaming over video chat. roll20 looks a lot more feature rich than Tabletop Forge was, so it will be interesting to give it a go.

The idea is for a simple game, which is high on hack and low on plot. I want to take a break from complex plotting for a while, so this seemed like a good compromise.

The game is set in the World of Greyhawk setting, in the highlands east of the County of Sunndi. It is a region that is fiercely independent, where gnomes, dwarves, halflings, elves and humans all happily live side by side. There are nasty things coming up from the Vast Swamp in the south however, and the Aerdy is threatening from the north. There will probably be ample opportunity to run into the Scarlet Brotherhood as well.
