Cost Effectiveness
Assume that it can buy fuel at half price because it's buying in bulk, and has its own fuel providers it can use at several worlds. For a J-4 trip, it's using 19,000t of fuel, at Cr250 - a total of Cr4,750,000.
It can carry 10,000t of craft, and assume it charges by the tonne, so at full load that's Cr475/t.
Let's say it charges Cr150/t/parsec. That's triple what a ship normally pays, but it's quicker.
It may also make money by taking freight. That's normally paid at Cr7,000/tonne. That's potentially MCr14. So even with half a cargo hold, it pays for travel and anything it makes from carrying ships is a bonus.
Ships it carry can also carry cargo, so though it's expensive, they can probably normally offset costs by taking freight themselves.
It stays 3 days at each port, refuelling and loading cargo and ships.
