Gelidaceous asteroids are a mix of rock and ice, and are found in the mid to outer solar system. Unlike other asteroid types which may contain ices, these tend to comprise of large chunks of snow and ice, with rock embedded within.

They are a good source of water, but tend to not contain metals.
