Silicaceous Asteroid Group: Small Body Group
Class: Asteroidal Class

Silicaceous asteroids are a common type of asteroid, being comprised of silicates and similar rocky elements. They may contain some metals and ices depending on their location within the system. They make for a good base, since they are easier to hollow out than Metallic asteroids, but generally stable and sturdy.
