Lorea is a young maga with dark, almost black, short hair and brown eyes. She is short and thin, and generally dressed in a white dress with long sleeves. She wears a dark grey hooded cloak, and often rides a horse. She carries a non-magical staff with a rearing stallion carved on the top, which she just uses for show.

Lorea's parents were killed by English soldiers when she was 7. She escaped, and found refuge with a hedge wizard named Wulfengard who took her in and taught her as an apprentice. He was an abusive master, and she learnt to hate him and other magi as much as she hated the English who she blamed for the destruction of her life. She views her magic as a curse, but one she can use against those she views as her enemies. She knows she is damned, but doesn't care, and is in a spiral of self-hatred that will not end well for anyone.

After she had been taught everything her master could teach her, she killed him. The Tribunal does not know this, and if they found out she would be in even more trouble than she currently is.

• Tempus et effectus in quae, (Perdo; Summa 9, Quality 10). This is an unbound book on Perdo. It looks like it may have once been good quality, but is now torn and water stained. Bits of it are also missing. It is written in a beautiful script, with excellent illumination of scenes of suffering, death and decadence. It is bound in a hard, black leather of indeterminate origin (actually demon skin).
