Krait

The Krait class of light fighter was one of the first designs from Star Flight Manufacturing Ltd of New Home to see mass production. Designed as a close range fighter for defence and escort duties, it was originally sold to allied star systems, but eventually became more widely adopted throughout the Islands.

Recently, it is seen as an obsolete design, and more advanced nations tend to use it as a training craft. However, it's price, especially when bought second hand, still makes it a favourite for smaller settlements or by those without official government backing.
