This is an old revision of the document!

Imisaa 2916

A mostly airless, hot, desert world with stinking sealed cities that run along canyons and cover craters. It's a haven for criminals, the only natives who managed to make a profit on this failed colony. All official wealth, mostly from mining of precious gems, is funnelled to Tobia.

The world is ruled by Governor Lynn Irkirin Mangilumar, who runs the starport and controls the world with an iron fist - or at least tries to. The government is a shambles, and crime and corruption are rife at all levels of society. Though little of the surface is populated, there are a hundred million people squeezed into life support systems meant for half of that. Outside of the high class areas, the air and water filtration systems struggle to keep up, and everything smells of sweat.

Though crime is common, violence is relatively low given the circumstances. Though there are various gangs, they mostly exist in balance with each other. When violence does break out, the Governors police force is more likely than not to crack down hard on all those involved.

Trade

Imisaa is abundant with gemstones of rare quality.

There is an Imperial navy base in the asteroid belt of the system, with repair yards and refuelling stations. This has rubbed off on the local starport, which has expanded to provide much needed civilian facilities to serve the navy and its personnel. There are plenty of opportunities to spend money at the starport, as well as plenty of civilian contractors willing to provide engineering and mechanical aid to anyone who needs it.
